PILOT REGISTRATION

Flying Guidelines

To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone at the Model Aircraft Airshow Dubai , we’ve established the following flying guidelines. These guidelines are designed to promote fairness, safety, and fun for all participants.

General Participation

  • Open Invitation: All members are welcome to fly their aircraft, regardless of type and size.

  • Pilot Registration: Pilots are encouraged to register online to help coordinate the flight line, though it’s not mandatory.

Safety and Equipment

  • Fuel Storage: Maintain fuel containers properly and store them safely in the pit area.

  • Battery Charging: LiPo battery charging is permitted but must be supervised at all times.

  • Aircraft Condition: Ensure your aircraft is well-maintained and in good flying condition. Organizers reserve the right to deny flight line access to any aircraft is unsafe.

Flight Operations

  • Demo Flights: Every hour, our sponsors will present demo flights by professional pilots.
  • Flight Duration: Each flight is limited to a maximum of 6 minutes from engine start to landing.
  • Simultaneous Flights: Multiple aircraft may fly together if all involved pilots agree. Ensure aircraft are lined up together.
  • Designated Airspace: Fly only within the assigned airspace; avoid crossing the pilot line or flying over the pit area.
  • Communication: Clearly announce your intentions (e.g., takeoffs, landings) to fellow pilots to maintain awareness and coordination.
  • Flight Patterns: Maintain consistent flight patterns to ensure
predictability and safety for all pilots.
  • Technical Issues: If your aircraft encounters problems, promptly land and return to the pit area.

Access Restrictions

  • Flight Line Access: Only pilots, technicians, marshals, organizers, and
media personnel are allowed on the flight line. The public is not
    permitted.

  • Media Conduct: Media crew should remain near the fence and avoid
approaching pilots during flights to prevent distractions.

Conduct and Compliance

  • Cleanliness: Keep the pit and flight line clean. Dispose of trash and
    store equipment neatly.
  • Issue Reporting: If you have a complaint or encounter an issue, please
report it to the organizers discreetly. Any disturbance may result in removal from the airfield.
  • Safety Authority: Organizers and club management have the authority to terminate any flight deemed dangerous.
